And remember, this was during the wildfires in which just a few hours, if the wind shifted, a neighborhood previously thought to be relatively safe could be found in danger. It was a time in which access to the telecom networks was a matter of life and death.

The silver lining is that this situation has prompted Californian lawmakers to push forward bills mandating all cell towers to have at minimum, a 72-hour power backup system, one that ought to include more than just one telecom battery.
