Step 1: Prepare the area and take measurements.

Step 3: Choose the correct weatherstripping.

Step 6: Nail, snap or glue the weatherstripping to the door.

If there is adhesive on the back of the product, remove it and press it into place around the door frame, not the door itself. Even if your weatherstripping has adhesive, you may want to reinforce the installation with heavy-duty staples or small nails. Both of these methods will help keep the weatherstripping in place over time.
