Leaf Width
Link to EZONG
Leaf Width refers to the measurement taken from the center of the hinge pin to the outer edge of the leaf. This dimension is crucial for calculating the compatibility and usability of different hinge types in various applications.
While it's common for most hinges to feature equal width leaves, there are instances where hinges with unequal leaves can be utilized. For lighter hinges with unequal leaves, it is advisable for the total widths to equal a standard measurement. For instance, leaves measuring .50" and 1.50" (totaling 2.00", which qualifies as a standard) are preferred over leaves of .50" and .625" (which totals only 1.125"). Adhering to these specifications ensures optimal support and functionality.
